At LurNova we build AI platforms for companies that cannot send their data outside Europe. We develop MIA, our AI platform running on our own infrastructure in the EU, and custom AI agent projects for clients in regulated sectors.
We are looking for someone to join the technical team and strengthen the development of the platform and the agents, under the technical leadership of our CTO. We value the ability to understand a problem and propose the solution more than the speed of writing code.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain backend services in Python, with architectures that hold up in production.
- Integrate and serve AI models and LLMs, and design custom agents for each client.
- Resolve platform incidents through the ticketing system, from diagnosis to closure.
- Take part in code reviews and in defining quality and documentation standards.
- Support end clients when the case requires it.
- Work with automated container deployments and CI/CD, and use AI development tools with good judgement (we use Claude Code).
What we are looking for
- Experience with backend Python in production.
- The ability to reason through problems that are not fully specified.
- Experience serving models or LLMs in production, or working with relational, streaming or vector databases.
- Familiarity with containers and CI/CD pipelines.
- A degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, telecommunications or similar. We value what you have shown you can build over the qualification.
Nice to have: experience in applied ML or RL, and a background in research centres or R&D. You do not need to have worked in generative AI; you do need the curiosity and drive to understand how models work.
What we offer
- €35k to €40k gross per year in 14 payments, within the department's salary band. Annual review linked to objectives.
- Hybrid working: 2 days at the Donostia office and 3 remote.
